ALMA feedthroughs are for the introduction of rotary motion into a vacuum chamber. Magnetic fluids as the sealing substance ensure complete cleanliness in the vacuum application. The static components inside the feedthrough are hermetically sealed against the rotary components, eliminating the problems caused by typical elastomer O-rings.

Products for ultra-high vacuum applications and cooled types are currently fabricated on a customer-specific basis.
